Trust is an important part of a good homeopath – the ability to inspire trust, trust in their own skills, and in the process. Alex clearly trusts the power of the right remedy, and trusts the healing process, and this is communicated to the patient, which in turn engenders trust. I have confidence in her handling of what for me has been serious long term and life changing illness. In homeopathy case taking is key, and this rests on communication skills. With me, and with two of my adult daughters, she has shown that she can draw out information in a skilful way. In the past I have had experience of my children being put off by a homeopath whose questioning came across as intrusive, and with Alex that has not been a problem. Alex has shown that she can build a rapport and make the appointment a pleasant experience, with people of different ages and at different stages of life. She shows determination and persistence in eliciting the important details needed, and educating about the homeopathic approach, which requires a different attitude to symptoms, and a higher level of self-awareness. I chose her partly because of her scientific background. I have used drug treatments for chronic infection, as well as homeopathy, herbalism and other approaches, and I found in the past that some homeopaths found it difficult to engage with this without becoming uncertain or defensive. Through her treatment I am recovering well from serious long term illness, and I would recommend her highly. If you are new to homeopathy, or if you have used it for many years like me, you will be in safe hands.
